Unique kill

A unique kill is when a player kills a target for the first time in a single instance of an area.

In most PvP areas, only unique kills award faction, so when a player is killed a second time, no faction is earned. There are two exceptions: in Factions' Alliance Battles and Competitive Missions, faction is awarded for all kills rather than just for unique kills.
