[edit] When did they kill the Desolation run?

Does anyone know when it stopped being possible to run to Vabbi? It used to be that if you brought someone along who wasn't Junundu-friendly, you could let them go die in the sulfur, and then hop in a Junundu and run around through the Desolation. This is apparently no longer the case (I know, I just tried for a friend). I'm not asking whether this is possible, I'm asking (for historical reference) when the "bug" was fixed.
