Much more useful than Shame, compared to costs and utility. Shame only shut downs ally-targeting skills, making it useless vs. all other caster professions. Ninjas In The Sky 16:29, 14 May 2008 (UTC)
- Shame kills monks, dead monks = dead everything else 76.26.189.65 22:05, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
- They're both useful. I always think of this one more as energy management, and Shame as more of a shut-down skill. Mostly because an Elementalist will (almost) always cast through this spell. Most monks have things like Holy Veil to bypass Shame & Diversion... 71.127.159.233 15:49, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
Monks have holy veil to bypass shame OR diversion ;> 83.20.94.211 19:08, 13 October 2008 (UTC)
I dont think a monk will waste the veil on this or diversion. most will just wait the 6 seconds. veil is for the bigger hexes imo, like vor, backfire, soul bind, etc. Before you say 6 seconds of downtime is dead team, not really. In real pvp there is more than one monk, in smaller pvp, people aren't coordinated enough +/or bring self heals. I monk, and when I do I Just wait out this hex and veil off the more important stuff. I wish the recharge wasn't so high. I understand why but I think 15 sec recharge would be fine... it has a 2 sec cast time anyways. Roflmaomgz 19:34, 4 November 2009 (UTC)
