• On 19th January 2007 update, this weapon was introduced as a Heroes' Ascent reward from the winner's chest.
• Prior to the release of the Eye of The North expansion, this was the rarest and most expensive axe in the game. A req 9 inscribable Stygian Reaver could easily sell for 500 ectos.
