Source of Whispers is a Lightbringer Scrivener, a
historian in the Order of Whispers. He hands outs
storybooks for
Night Falls and
Young Heroes of Tyria (both
normal mode and
hard mode versions) and accepts filled storybooks in return for Lightbringer rewards.

- "So now you come to the Source, (player's name). The Source administers the distribution of reports to our agents in the field. Be sure to carefully document your missions against those who would destroy the Light. Bring that written evidence to the Source and as your deeds become known, your reputation will grow within the Order.
If you increase your reputation enough, you can even earn Hero skill points, which can be spent to teach your Heroes new skills rom any of the Hero Skill Trainers in Elona and beyond."
- I would like that. What was it I needed to do?
- "I think you are going to need to do something a little more to keep gaining reputation with the members of the Order. Try doing all the things you have done before, but this time do them in Hard Mode and then bring me the written evidence You could also bring reports on the Young Heroes of Tyria in Hard Mode."
- Written evidence?
- "Your copy of Night Falls is the best way to track your missions against the forces of Abaddon, but we are also interested in tales of Young Heroes of Tyria in Hard Mode.
I can provide you with blank copies of either of these books. No doubt there are other books out there to show your prowess and skill, but you'll need to find those on your own."
