Deliver the Scepter of Orr to Vizier Khilbron and rendezvous with Evennia on the other side of the island.

  • Locate the Vizier and deliver the Scepter.
  • Make your way to the docks on the opposite side of the island.
  • *BONUS* Help the Restless Spirit find his final resting place.
  • Added - You have been betrayed! Evennia has been taken. Meet the Vizier at the docks to make your escape.
  • Added - Defend the Vizier while he summons a ship for your escape. Get on the boat when he is done.

[edit] Walkthrough

Head off the boat towards the shore. One player must talk with Evennia to whom she will hand the Scepter of Orr. While held, the scepter grants +1 energy regeneration. If dropped on the ground, it will raise the energy of all nearby allies by +10.

Upon hitting the shore, dispatch the weak Inferno Imps on the hill. If you pull the Imps close enough, Evennia will help with fighting them. Proceed over the hill and defeat a second group of them. Head towards the shore then up the river northward. Here you will engage a few small groups of undead. At the end of the river, you will see exit ramps on both the east and the west, a bridge covering the gap above, and undead patrolling all around. Try to pull a group or two into the river to take care of them without interference from other patrols. Proceed to the western exit ramp and take out the group that patrols it. Once at the top of the cliffs, keep going north, avoiding the bridge. Follow this path and kill the undead boss that is on it.

From here, the path opens to the northern shore. White Mantle patrol the shores here, but they should not prove to be too difficult compared to Riverside Province. Proceed east, preferably following the southern path. You should see a patrol of four Hellhounds to the south. Defeat them and continue south. You will usually run into a second group of Hellhounds as well.

Here, you should be overlooking a poisonous swamp, occupied by a couple of Bone Dragons. Pull the dragons out of the swamp if possible and defeat them. On the far side of the swamp, you'll see another bone dragon, but this one has the ranger boss glow to it. Heal up and charge across the swamp. Try to get everyone out of the poison and engage the undead group. Healers should be ready, as it is nearly unavoidable to aggro the undead while the party has suffered some degeneration from the poison. Find the lever to the south to open a gate into an open field.

The field has a couple pairs of Inferno Imps and Hill Giants. They are only in groups of two, so it should not be difficult to defeat them. Continue up the hill to the south to find the Vizier (at point A on the map) and trigger a cut scene. In the scene, he will take back the Scepter of Orr, so the party cannot benefit from it for the remainder of the mission. However, he will create a few undead allies to aid you (although they tend to die easily).

Head back north, and this time to the east in the field towards an open gate with White Mantle guarding it including a boss. Defeat them and follow the path where you will run into a few more White Mantle patrols. It does not matter which path you take when you arrive at a fork, but most groups choose the western fork. The path eventually leads to the shoreline where the Vizier awaits along a dock (point B on the map).

Once you approach the dock, the Vizier will spend the next few minutes summoning a ship for your escape. Meanwhile, White Mantle will approach in small groups from both the east and the west. At least one of these groups contains a boss. Do your best to kill the groups before the next wave comes, otherwise it is easy to become overwhelmed by the sheer number of White Mantle that appear. If Khilbron dies, the mission is lost, so keep them away from him at all cost, especially from the Savants' Searing Heat. After a few minutes, the boat will emerge from the sea and come to rest at the dock. All players will see a message to board the ship, at which point at least one player must reach the end of the dock to end the mission.

Anomaly Anomaly.
If the Vizier dies on the hill after you give him the staff, the mission will continue. However, he will not resurrect at the end of the mission to raise the boat, and you must restart in order to continue the campaign.

[edit] Bonus

Towards the beginning of the mission, after fighting the Inferno Imps, you'll notice a number of Lightning Drakes along the shore. Normally, you can avoid them, but if you push through them, you'll find a Restless Spirit (just behind a rocky hill). Whoever carries the Scepter must speak with him, and he will follow (don't get too far ahead of him, for he is believed not to follow). Proceed with the mission to the cut scene where the players hand the Scepter over to Vizier Khilbron. After the cut scene, talk with the spirit and he will follow. The spirit follows all characters equally, similar to the Eye of Janthir in the Divinity Coast mission, so the entire party must go to the cemetery for the spirit to follow. When the undead allies first appear if you are quick enough you can talk to the Smoke Phantoms, making them follow you like undead pets. It is especially helpful to keep the smoke phantoms alive in the later part of the mission. The goal now is to guide the spirit to a cemetery located southwest of the shore where the Vizier summons the boat at the end of the mission.

The first option is for the party to remain at the dock until the White Mantle cease to spawn. The mission ends only when a player boards the boat, so they may simply avoid it until the White Mantle are cleared, allowing an easy passage to the cemetery. This method is deemed faster because you won't need the careful pulling required by the second option. Keep in mind, though, that if your party is defeated, you will lose both the bonus and the mission.

The second option is to hug the rightmost wall, and the Vizier will not yet appear. Continue southwest until you find the cemetery for the bonus. While the party is at the cemetery, a large amount of White Mantle will gather around where Khilbron spawns, and they are very likely to kill him if you get too close and let him spawn. Return to north of the dock and pull the White Mantle groups far away from the dock one at a time with a longbow or a flatbow and then kill them. Be careful not to let the Vizier spawn by staying far enough away. Once you have killed the White Mantle, just walk to the dock to spawn the Vizier and wait for him to summon the ship. This method ensures you get the bonus even if you fail to complete the mission.

Bug Bug.
Be sure that the Restless Spirit follows you; it can get stuck at several different points after the first cutscene, such as the cliffs overlooking the cemetery (near where you meet Vizier Khilbron); behind the first gate (that leads to the Hill Giants); and anytime two players get far apart (e.g. if you are running someone).

[edit] Note

During the first half of the mission before you meet the Vizier, the Restless Spirit does not actually follow the party - he follows the Scepter of Orr, and whoever holds it. If you want to clear the way through a dangerous area, drop off the Scepter and the Spirit will stand still until you pick it up again.

  • Interactive objects
  • It takes approximately 2 minutes and 20 seconds to summon the boat.
  • After the mission, you will be transported to the Amnoon Oasis.
  • Shortly before the first cutscene, Vizier Khilbron appears to possess the Scepter of Orr, despite the fact that you're still carrying it.
  • The Restless Spirit will be seen following your party onto the boat if you are unable to finish the bonus before the end cutscene.
  • Complete exploration of the mission area contributes 1.4% to the Tyrian Cartographer title.
    • This may or may not include a large chunk of inaccessible ocean, which will be cleared if you watch the cutscene at the end of the mission.
