Realms of the Gods

The Realms of the Gods are areas of the Mists that are under the control of particular gods. They are explorable areas, but they do not have portals or Resurrection Shrines. Thus, if the party wipes, or if critical NPCs are killed, then the party is returned to the zone from where they entered the realm.

The following realms are currently accessible to players from Tyria.

To enter a realm, all the following conditions must be met:

  • The world must have favor.
  • All members of the party must be Ascended or Weh no Su, or must have completed the "Hunted!" quest (although the latter only works for Nightfall characters). Henchmen cannot enter, however heroes can.
  • The person petitioning the gatekeeper for entrance must have 1 platinum in their inventory (which will be removed as payment).

Note: You may also enter the Underworld or Fissure of Woe by using a Passage Scroll. These scrolls instantly take your party into the corresponding area.

  • On August 12th, 2007, Gaile Gray stated that ArenaNet was not currently working on new divine realms, and that there were no plans to do so within the forseeable future.
