Rata Sum is the aboveground center of Asuran activity in the Tarnished Coast.

The hub of Asuran activity on the surface world, Rata Sum was quickly and magically erected when the race arrived from their native underground homes. Geomystic generators dot the area, providing free power to the town. Some find the atmosphere within the town uncomfortable, saying you can literally feel the Energy being sucked from the air, but the Asura vow this enchanted technology is "perfectly safe".

[edit] Getting there

This town is the destination of the quest Lab Space, which can be obtained from Vlox's Falls. Starting from Vlox's Falls, head west through Arbor Bay and into the Riven Earth. Continue in a westward direction to reach Rata Sum (red path).

You can take an alternative route (yellow path) after arriving at Riven Earth which takes you through Alcazia Tangle and then north through Magus Stones. The alternative path is longer but allows you to skip several large groups of 5-7 Raptors and instead face groups of Spiders and other Arachnids.

• Rata Sum is an anagram of Mursaat.
• The translation in Latin of Rata Sum would be "I'm thinking", which fits the Asura very well. As the gender isn't correct, it may be unintended.
