Primordus

Thought to be a statue, the giant stone monument in the Depths of Tyria is in fact a dormant elder dragon named Primordus. Originally supposed to awaken in 1078 AE, Primordus' awakening was set back roughly fifty years by the defeat of his greatest general, the Great Destroyer.
Primordus' resting place is located near the Central Transfer Chamber, and energy radiating from him powers the entire Asura Gate network.
