An Obelisk is a magical attack platform usually constructed with three upright pillars surrounding a central raised dais.

Obelisks play a key role in fending off advancing Charr war parties in the late stages of the Ruins of Surmia mission. When in Player v. Player matches, the similar Obelisk Flag Stand is activated by a team flag, at which point it begins firing on the enemy team. In cooperative Player v. Environment play, combatants must lead qualified mages to the obelisks to bring them to bear against hostile targets.
