A Minion is an animated undead servant created by a Necromancer skill, usually from a corpse.

- The number of minions a player can control is based on the level of the character's Death Magic:

- Minions suffer accelerating health degeneration, although they are affected by the 10 net degeneration cap, their "base" degeneration appears to be able to increase indefinitely.
- Minions suffer from 1 pip of health degeneration upon creation.
- Health degeneration increases by 1 pip every 20 seconds.
- At level 18, minions will live for 1 minute 24 seconds before dying due to decomposition.
- If a minion's master dies, all of that Necromancer's minions will become "unbound" and hostile to all creatures other than other minions controlled at the time of death. If the master is resurrected, his/her minions will not be automatically rebound to him/her.
- In PvP, teamless minions will show up with grey font and grey dots on the map.
- Minions count as allies, but not party members. Unlike animal companions, minions will not be shown in the party window.
- Allied minions cannot be highlighted with the "Show Others" hotkey (default key is Alt).
- When a minion dies, the remaining corpse cannot be reused as a minion.
- The Flesh Golem is an exception in that its corpse can be used to make another.
- Minions do not count as foes for the purposes of Vanquishing.
- Minions are affected by Weapon spells, though nothing changes their look like Weapon Spells do on weapons.
- Minions are not teleported with players during cinematic cutscenes when players are moved from their inital locations.
Minions set free before cinematic will often run free, attacking and possibly killing defenseless ally NPCs and PCs. If controlled they will attack hostile targets who are part of the cutscene or they can block the camera views

- Although minions will attack foes in their Danger Zone, they will not attack ones outside this range unless their master attacks a target.
- Spells will not count as attacks in this regard.
- Minions do not follow target calls.
- Minions do not flee from AoE damage.
- Minions will not retreat from battle regardless of their master's actions.

- Vampiric Horror (Animate Vampiric Horror)

- Jagged Horror (Animate Shambling Horror or Jagged Bones)
You can have only one each of the following minion types at any time.
- Flesh Golem (Animate Flesh Golem, Elite skill)
- Celestial Horror (Star Servant) (Kuunavang pve only skill)
[edit] Skills effective against undead minions
- Holy damage skills, often found under Smiting Prayers, for example Bane Signet and Ray of Judgment.
- Dervishes can cause Holy damage from their scythes, which is twice as effective against undead enemies. See: Avatar of Balthazar and Heart of Holy Flame.
- Necromancers have the strong ability to create their own Minions, but also turn all enemy Minions into ones that are masterless, and will rampage against anyone. See: Verata's Aura and Verata's Gaze.
