[edit] Notes

  • Complete exploration of this area contributes approximately 1.1% to the Tyrian Cartographer title.
  • Vanquisher runs of this area without active quests requires defeating around 190 foes. Including quest influences, it has been reported to range from 156 to 197.
  • The only resurrection shrine is at the beginning of the area.
  • Some bosses do not show if the quest The Villainy of Galrath is active.
  • This area is considered much more difficult overall than other areas in Kryta due to the large mob size of the Cult of Verata.
    • Try to whittle their numbers by pulling them to the side of the cliff, where you can hide from the Eyes of Verata (rangers) and disengage without them being able to give chase.
    • Take note that the Apprentices of Verata can steal your party's minions if you have minion masters in your party.
    • When taking on the Eyes of Verata in an open area, try to spread out to minimize the effect of their Choking Gas.
    • There are several bosses other than Verata among them; some of them can be pulled away from their mob.
    • The boss Rage Maulhoof appears just before the exit from The Black Curtain to Kessex Peak. Since morale boosts remain with your party from area to area, it is possible to zone to Kessex Peak and back to kill Rage Maulhoof multiple times to achieve a 10% morale boost to help with the more difficult foes in Kessex Peak.
