Irukandji resemble floating jellyfish and can be found roaming the surface of the Jade Sea in groups with Creeping Carp and Scuttle Fish. Some giant specimens of these creatures can be seen frozen within jade in several Jade Sea areas.

• The name for this creature is likely based on the Irukandji jellyfish found in the northern waters of Australia. This species of jellyfish is among the most poisonous in the world. Many water nets protecting against jellyfish are rendered ineffective because of the Irukandji's size (real Irukandji, unlike the Guild Wars creature, are actually quite small).
