The Heaven Seal was created early in July 2005 by its leader, Master Legault (at the time, "Edge Silvershadow"). For a while, there was practically nobody in the guild. Things changed when Legault's real-life friend, known in-game as Alphonse Eldric (who, incidentally, got him interested in Guild Wars), finally showed up. As it turns out, Alphonse ("Al") had run into some trouble. He had formerly been the leader of a thriving guild of over 40 members. However, after moving to Florida and having been offline for three weeks, he discovered that his membership had sunk to an abysmal 11 members, including him. Al decided that he wanted to aid his friend in his endeavors, and thus became vice leader of the Heaven Seal.

Things looked good at that point; before we knew it, we had nearly 40 members, all of whom were fairly active. It seemed that nothing could go wrong until Al left us for WoW in late December 2005. The guild basically fell apart at that point, since one leader simply could not handle the full responsibility of a guild that size.

In February and March 2006, the Heaven Seal finally began to recover. Many new members joined, and our numbers swelled to 25 or so--not as impressive as before, but still a start. Unfortunately, this was a false start. Factions was soon to be released, and there was talk of officers leaving the guild for the purpose of forming an alliance when Factions came out in April. This seemed a good plan, but by the time Legault made it to the Echovald and was able to form an alliance, most of the guild had left. His former officers were now reluctant to ally with him, since they felt either that 1) the Kurzicks were weak, 2) they did not like doing PvE only, or 3) they wanted to be their own masters. Legault was soon left entirely alone, and would remain in this sorry state until the beginning of 2007.

Finally, after searching for a viable alliance for more than eight months, Legault finally joined the Lords of Sakkray (LOS) alliance. With the help of another real-life friend (in-game alias: Angelius Mortis), Legault and his crew were finally branching out again. Unfortunately, due to a heated dispute, the Heaven Seal left the LOS alliance.

We are now closed to new allies and are focusing on building up the guild so that we will have a solid base when Guild Wars 2 comes out. We will transfer any membership in HS over to the new GW2 HS when it finally arrives.

[edit] What We Have to Offer

The Heaven Seal is a mostly PvE Kurzick guild that focuses on having fun. We are always ready to help out with missions, quests, farming, and whatever else you may need, but fun and friendship come first. Our leader and officers have explored most of Tyria, Cantha, and Elona and are always willing to help. Some of the other members of the guild may not be quite as experienced, but their hearts are definitely in the right place, and they are fast learners.

We are currently rebuilding our membership & alliance and reforming rules. We are looking for active new & veteran players to help us reinforce our membership who are at least 16 years old and mature. (Many of our members are over 30!)
