Guide to farming Ebon Vanguard reputation points

With the changes to the rewards obtained from turning in Hero's Books, players may find it far more rewarding (and certainly less boring) to farm Books instead of clearing map areas. With practice, a Hero's Book can be completed from start to finish in four hours, giving a reputation award of 20,000 points plus the great experience award and decent gold award. Once level 8 in reputation is reached, players may still find it faster to turn in partial or completed Hard Mode Books than to farm Hard Mode areas to reach 160,000 points.

A quick way to get to Level 5 quickly is to complete all of the Ebon Vanguard side-quests, do at least one dungeon, and then finish the game and hand your complete Hero's Handbook to Gedrel of Ascalon.

Exit Doomlore Shrine to Dalada Uplands, pick up the bounty. Head west towards the Siege Devourer then directly south past Molotov Rocktail, towards the next resurrection shrine. When you hit the border, veer east towards the Sacnoth Valley portal.
Grab the first bounty and then kill all the normal enemies, leaving the resurrection shrines and bosses for later. Once you've accumulated 150 kills, start talking to the other Ebon Vanguard Scouts, and once you've accumulated 250 kills, start killing bosses.

The above method also works in Hard Mode.
If you wish to reach rank 10 most efficiently, however, it is wisest to turn in your Hero's Handbook or Master Dungeon Guide when you reach 79,999 points, (Gedrel of Ascalon will not accept the Normal Mode Books at 80,000 points and above) this helps avoid some of the effort needed to farm points in Hard Mode.
