• The Latin translation of his name translates to "Of Drachmas Corpse". This could be a reference to when ancient greeks would place their coins (Drachmas) into the mouths of the dead.
• The name "Dracul" also bears a very close resemblance to the possible last name of Vlad the Impaler (a.k.a. Vlad Dracul), the alleged original Count Dracula.
