Chosen

The Chosen are commoners from Kryta who are taken by the White Mantle supposedly for good intentions. They are identified by the Eye of Janthir, in a ritual in which the players take part during the Divinity Coast mission, and are said to be taken away for learning magic at the White Mantle main temple.
The truth, however, is that the Chosen are part of the Flameseeker Prophecies, destined to cause the downfall of the Mursaat. In the Maguuma Jungle the players learn that the White Mantle, servants of the Mursaat, are taking the Chosen into the jungle to be sacrificed on a Bloodstone. The souls from such sacrifice are powering the Soul Batteries in the Door of Komalie, preventing the armies of Titans from invading the world of Tyria.
At the end of the Sanctum Cay mission, the players learn they are Chosen, and therefore fit to Ascend and earn the gift of True Sight, becoming able to see the Mursaat.

- The player deals with Chosen in the Divinity Coast mission, where he or she uses the Eye of Janthir to find them and take them to the White Mantle
- The Bloodstone Fen mission involves the White Mantle's attempt to sacrifice the chosen on a bloodstone and the player must help the Shining Blade save them.
- The Chosen will use Healing Signet to heal themselves.
