Ancient artifacts are reward tokens you can get from completing many quests in the Desolation. They can be traded to a Wandering Scribe at the Gate of Desolation.

- Like most reward tokens, Ancient Artifacts can neither be sold to merchants nor be salvaged, but they can be traded.
- The faster rate for converting these directly to gold is purchasing and selling superior salvage kits, which will pay out 200
per Ancient Artifact (1
per kit, 1 kit per 5 Ancient Artifacts). Keeping and using the kits may be even more profitable, since each one saves you 4 expert salvage kits, at a cost of 2 total, increasing the potential value of 5 Ancient Artifacts to 2; that is, 400 each. In any case, do not sell them to other players for less than 300 each.
- Completing all the above quests, you can obtain a maximum of 16 Ancient Artifacts (there are two mutually exclusive quests).
