Amatz Basin is a Kurzick challenge mission in the Echovald Forest. The wardens have become enraged and are attacking the outlying Kurzick settlements deep in the forests. Protect the Kurzick refugees as they make their way to the portal that will transport them to safety.

This mission has a 10 minute time limit; however, additional time can be earned after rescuing a set number of refugees (+60 seconds every 25 people saved). Kurzick refugees come in groups of 1 - 4 from three different paths that meet at the portal. Once the group either teleports or dies, the next group spawns and makes their way to the portal. Between the refugee spawn points and the portal are where several groups of Wardens spawn. As time progresses, more groups spawn. Guard Karsten and Guard Uwe are standing next to the portal and will help fight any Wardens that get within range. They are not required to survive, but their presence is helpful.
The general strategy for this mission is to keep the Wardens distracted while the Kurzick refugees run to the portal. One way to achieve this is to use several Perma Shadow Form assassins to aggro the Wardens and "Charge!"/"Fall Back!" on other characters to speed up the refugees. The characters with Charge and Fall Back can stand at the refugee spawn points, which is far enough away from the Wardens to avoid aggro. The assassins need to pull the Wardens away from the paths to prevent body blocking the refugees or risk damage from Splinter Weapon. Having lower armor and health will help with this. It is still possible to take damage from Splinter Weapon and bleeding from Lacerate. It is not necessary to kill any Wardens and attacking the Warden of Forests should be avoided since that will charge up "None Shall Pass!" Once the setup is complete, the refugees should stream into the portal until time runs out.

- Complete exploration of this area contributes approximately 0.3% to the Canthan Cartographer title.
- Can be easily farmed with a team of Perma-Shadow Formers. Simply set one assassin in each direction about a compass and a half width from the start. Maintain Shadow form as the mobs focus on you and the Kurzick Refugees should be able to walk past mostly without dying.
- Parties should avoid bringing spirit heals such as Life, Union and Shelter as the Wardens use Consume Soul which kills the spirits instantly. Consume Soul will also instantly kill Necromancer minions.
- Obtaining a score of 100 or above will increase your Kurzick faction cap once by 1000.
