Groups of skale will spawn and come in waves, starting from a group of level 4 skale up to a group of level 13 and 14 skale.

- "Excuse me. Could you do me a favor? I left some of my tools back in my camp, but I can't leave this monument unattended for too long. Some unscrupulous corsair could steal my equipment and research papers, and I can't afford that. Could you keep an eye on this monument for me while I go get the tools? It should only take me a few minutes."
Accept: "Wow,someone willing to go get their own stuff! I'll totally stay here and take the easy job."
Decline: "I'm kind of busy, sorry."

- Typically, players will encounter this quest at a low level, which can make defending the monument very difficult. It is advisable therefore to level up a little before attempting this quest. Alternatively, wait until you also have the quest Queen of the Quarry, which provides some additional Sunspear guards that can double the party size and make the defense much easier.
- At low level, you may succeed if you try and drag foes to a group of fellows sunspears located at south-west of your starting position. You may die several time doing so, but a Resurrection spot is very near.
- At low level: being very close to leveling up will negate some Death Penalty if you level up. Also, check your Quest Log before immediately attacking after any party Resurrection. It is possible to talk to Vadben to accept your reward before all of the enemies in the area are entirely defeated.
- Vadben is easily reached from Beknur Harbor. Doing this quest from Beknur Harbor is nice because you can work with a party of 8 from there, and the henchmen are of a sufficient level that your heroes and henchmen will practically complete this quest for you.
